Lemon Balm Infused Oil

Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), a member of the mint family, is considered a calming herb. It was used as far back as the Middle Ages to reduce stress and anxiety, promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion.

Lemon balm is a helpful topical ally infused in oil. Lemon balm has been clinically shown to kill herpes virus [1] and is helpful in any cases of inflammation or skin infection, as well as moisturizing the skin and leaving a citrus-fresh smell.

I grew this Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) with the help of friends at Cherry Valley Cooperative Farm, Princeton, NJ, harvested it at the peak of flowering, and infused it in Organic Almond Oil. I then let it steep for a moon cycle to help infuse the planetary influences into this oil.

I have a small batch available, and would love to share some with you.
