Mugwort Infused Oil

Anglo-Saxon tribes believed that the aromatic mugwort was one of the nine sacred herbs given to the world by the god Woden. It was used as a flavoring additive to beer before hops (Humulus lupulus ) became widely used. … St. John the Baptist was said to have worn a girdle of mugwort when he set out into the wilderness.

Mugwort (Artemesia tridentata) is an ancestral herbal ally worldwide. Mugwort makes a magical medicinal oil which helps with calming the mind, soothing sore muscles, lucid dreaming, and is also helpful for cold and flu! I like to apply the oil to muscle cramps, especially helpful for moontime cramping, as a chest rub in case of a cough, or for increasing sensitivity and awareness during meditation.

I’ve found very profound insights working with mugwort to enhance dream lucidity and dream recall and it is a profound shamanic journeying Plant. I’ve also enjoyed lots of nights sharing mugwort with friends to collectively do dream rituals, and it makes for interesting morning discussions of our dreams.

I prayerfully harvested this mugwort, and infused the plant in organic Sunflower and grapeseed oils. I would love to share some with you…
